Mary Rinck Evers is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music education from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. She has also studied choral conducting with Dr. Steve Michelson and Dr. Charles K. Smith. Mrs. Evers is currently the director of the ICC Greenfield Choir. Prior to her move to Indiana she taught elementary general music, middle school and high school vocal music in Hillsdale, Michigan for six years. Mrs. Evers has been a teacher in Indiana for twelve years. She currently teaches at Greenfield-Central High School where she directs six vocal ensembles. These groups have received superior marks at the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Choral Organizational Contests. Mrs. Evers is the department chair for the performing arts at Greenfield-Central. She serves as the chair for the Missions and Beliefs Committee for the North Central Accreditation Process. She also serves on the Character First Committee. Mrs. Evers is a member of the American Choral Directors Association and the Indiana Music Educators Conference. She has served on the Indiana Choral Directors Association Executive Board for nine years and is currently the president-elect. At home Mrs. Evers enjoys spending time with her husband, Brian and her son, Andrew.
